Our Arrows Cut Through the Rain with Ease;

...no gale will shove us from our destined course.

The submissions cycle for the debut issue has eaten its tail, which is to say, if you have not received a response one way or the other, please let us know immediately. Our spreadsheet is carefully tended, but human hands make errors nonetheless...

Remember to put a star in your planner for October 30th, when art will collide with fun to birth a litter of artfun chimeras which will then be set loose upon the greater St. Louis area. There will be readings by contributors, a "THIS IS NOT MY SPECIALITY" just-for-us set by local noisetonewunders birdleg, a dance party facilitated by DJ Double A, activity tables, edible consumables, drinks you've never heard of, and an opportunity to get your hands on some primo Super Arrow objets d'art. All of this at Stirrup Pants, Your Saturday Chapbook Shop!

Until then, we will be pushing pixels around and giggling with joy.

Yours, Theirs & Ours,

Super Arrow

@ Stirrup Pants (Your Saturday Chapbook Shop)

For those still waiting for submission responses, we are working our eyes down to the rods and cones, taking in your sweet majesty. We will get back to you as soon, as soon, as soon as we can.

Dearest Fletchers & Fishes

It's the end of an era, the first (second) day of the rest of our lives, a new dawn. The bell cannot be un-rung. These past couple of days have been the first chord of a song destined to elegantly rise in heat and volume as this crashing, grinning cycle spools toward an eventual crescendo of awesomeness.

In other words: submissions for the debut issue have been closed.

In more words: we are reading, stocking our spreadsheet like a wrong but gorgeous lake, full of your tropical fish. Let us get out our poles!

Tangentially: we've been on a real simile kick lately, huh?

In closing: thank you to all who have submitted. We'll respond just as quickly as we can.

The issue should go live in late autumn.

And we cannot, just cannot, wait.

Furiously Treading Cool Water with Your Pretty Fins All Around Us,

A cornucopia of thanks to all who have fired their fabulous spark-throwing, Whistling Dixie submissions at our tiny internet mailbox! They are explosive and beautiful.

We'll respond just as quickly as we can, but please have patience as our numbers are few.

Thanks, too, for all of the continued sweet and generous words of support.

Do us a favor and see if you lovely writers can spread the word to your visual/sonic art friends. We have some great stuff lined up but would love to have more! Also, if you are writer who makes art, or who collaborates with artists, don't hesitate to submit a grand hybrid or two.

Spread the word if you like, by using the following image, and linking using the html code below.

Dearest St. Louisans

Do not miss the sweetly burgeoning ecstasy which will happen THIS SATURDAY when our friend/hero Stirrup Pants, (your Saturday chapbook shop), opens its doors to the public for the first time at 2122 Cherokee. Dreamily-eyed and word-loving brethren will find it difficult to resist chapbooks from Glitter Pony, Invisible Ear, Portable Press @ Yo-Yo Labs, Sarabande/Quarternote, TinFish Press and Ugly Duckling Presse. Also on hand will be Water Bears to sonically massage your ears into thinking you're in heaven, if you believe in that sort of thing. Maybe even if you don't?

Mosey over, somewhere between 10 and 3. Super Arrow business cards will be making a cameo.

And!

SUBMISSION UPDATE: We're gathering your jeweled acorns of creative levity and gravity, and will be digging them up this winter (READ: summer's end, the post-deadline August 15) to gorge. Thanks so much for sending your work! Keep doing it, keep spreading the word. You have just under a month until! Procrastinate if you must, but don't forget. We love your potential works already.

Sincerely & With Great Admiration,
Super Arrow
